Warcraft: Orcs & Humans reinstrumentation

Got the game's soundtrack midi files from an internet friend Evilhog for months. Didn't think I'll be getting to try making the OST sound nicer (at least in my perspective) but I finally did, mostly during some evenings-nights. Tried having it not go outside the known version but wanted it more like a real orchestra.

Added some voices where they fit. Couldn't get all the nice sound FX and synthy VSTs the composer used but tried some makeshifts. Human I got two octaves higher so I could have it start with the low pitch sound since the instruments I used couldn't get that low as in the original.

Made in 2024, around 2 months or so (with big pauses of course); finished in December.

A sketch, intended as a sort of riddle for an internet acquaintance, more than anything. Doodled in 2019. Thinking of doing a more rock take, perhaps.

This one was a bit of a pain. Strated in 2018, finished July 2024. It had electric guitar parts and some other brass fragments which were totally scrapped since they eventually sounded pretty bad to me. In the end, a more orchestral oriented piece with some modernistic approaches. Final result seems OKish, whole thing could be connect better and have less crazy minded stuff.

Started this one in April 2024 on a whim sometime after listening to John Williams E.T. soundtrack. Took some time to get things somewhat right, mostly waiting for an internet friend to get creative with a saxophone but the person was too busy eventually. However, great advice was given by this friend pertaining some intro arpeggio variation and percussion-rhythm ideas.

 Started the sketch as usual on non-electric, non-acoustic guitar, in 2020 (if I recall correctly), recorded the instrumental parts in 2021 and made part of the lyrics, finished the latter and the song in 2024. Not very satisfied overall, especially with the voice but I decided to consider it OK.

Finished this one recently (started in January 2023) for Shea Easterbrook's Warcraft III map Daemonic Sword (https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/daemonic-sword-orpg.210092/). The author, however, has decided to end the collaboration for personal reasons. I'm pretty satisfied with the overall thing although the second part could have sounded better. The battle part (second half) took a lot of time to flesh out due to lack of inspiration.

By semi-original I mean that I used a few notes that Mr. Easterbrook used for his keyboard guitar based incantations and turned that into a whole composition.

A friend of mine sent me a video of violinist Jacek Dzwonowski being playful with his beloved instrument in the bathroom using as accompaniment what seemed to be a tap. The tune had an obvious middle-eastern vibe. Then, well, it just hit me to try playing something similar on classical guitar, and afterwards, this came out, 100% artificial by the way. Rough around the edges though.
